Soaks

Denture Cleaners

Denture cleaners can be very effective in making soaks because each on of them possesses some active ingredients to clean off the stains from hard, white surfaces. Take one denture cleaner tablet and dissolve it in a dish with warm water as per the instructions on the packing. Make sure that the cleaner is completely dissolved in the water then soak your hands in it for five minutes. After doing this rinse the hands in warm, clean water and pat dry. For improvement repeat the process for a few times in a week.

Hydrogen Peroxide

Soaks made out of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide can be very useful nail stain remover. You can mix half cup hot water with 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide and 1 tablespoon of baking soda in a bowl and stir it until everything is dissolved. Now dip you nails in it for approximately 10 minutes or until the stains vanish. After that wash your hands with water and soap and apply lotion because peroxide can be rash to your skin.


 

Soapy water & lemon juice

The stain particles from the nails can be removed with help of lemon juice due it its acidic nature while the soapy water can be useful in quickening this removal process. It makes easy to wash the stain particles away. Take one fourth cup lemon juice and mix it in one cup water in a plastic bowl and add 1 or 2 tablespoon of mild liquid soap.Then soak your nails in this mixture for 5 minutes then rinse your nails with water and apply lotion to prevent skin from drying.

 

Diluted white vinegar

Vinegar is another mild acid that can wash the stain particles away from hard white surfaces. Nevertheless, make sure that you use white vinegar as any other colored vinegar can stain your nails in the process. Take a bowl and add a cup of warm water with a tablespoon of distilled white vinegar and soak you nails in it for exactly 8 minute then rinse your ails with lukewarm running water and pat dry. Do not forget to use lotion on the skin to prevent it from drying out.

 

Scrubs

Wipe the surface stains with nail polish remover

The nail polisher remover containing acetone is more effective then anything else on the shelf. Soak a cotton ball or pad in nail polish remover and scrub the stained areas of the nails with this cotton and you should feel some difference after 20 minutes or so. If you don’t feel any difference then you require some other solution. However, this is only going to work if the stains are from nail polish.

Baking soda paste

Making a paste with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide can be very fruitful in removing stains from your nails. Mix a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide with 2 and a half tablespoon baking soda and stir with a spoon until they both form a paste. Then with a cotton swab apply this paste under the tip and over the top of each nail and cover all the nails on one hand and wait for 3 minutes then rinse with warm water and do the other hand. A noticeable difference will be there after first application this should be done once every couple of months.

 

Whitening toothpastes

Whitening toothpastes also possess the similar ingredients that have keratin which is effective for both teeth and nails. Use the dollop of a pea-size paste on each nail or less and rub it using nail brush or an old toothbrush can also be used for this purpose and let it be for5 minutes then rinse it off. Repeat this process for few times a week.

 

Lemon Juice

The acidity of lemon juice can be immensely helpful in clearing the stains away from the surfaces of nails. However, soaking can be harsh for the skin therefore, rub the juice for about 30 seconds on each nail directly and leave it for about 20 minutes or so for best results.
