The scientific name for warts or skin tags is achrochordon. These skin tags are not harmful by nature however they do look like weird tiny flaps of the skin and can influence the appearance of an individual. Warts are made of fibers, fat and nerve cells and are covered with skin. They appear on parts with creases on the skin like armpits, eyelids, groin. Breasts, chest and neck areas. The diabetic people, obese people and pregnant women are more common among the people with warts. Warts can appear on the body in different numbers, it can be one or can be one hundred and there many cosmetic techniques and methodologies to remove these tags. Some natural treatments are also available to cure this curious case of warts, corns, moles and psoriasis in an effective manner without damaging the skin.
On the average skin tags or warts occur after the age of 50 and are common among both men and women. It s a general perception that rubbing of skin against skin causes friction which results in skin tags and this is the precise reason why they appear on the parts of the body with creases and folds of the skin. Some researches have also indicated that there is a link between Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) and these skin tags. In many cases skin tags are also caused by improper usage of steroids due to the fact that these steroids interfere with the working of muscles by enhancing the protein fibers. The reason why the overweight or obese people have more skin tags is probably that they have more skin folds then usual.
You don’t need surgeries to remove you skin tags when you can do the same by using some natural home remedies.
Apple Cider Vinegar
People with sensitive skin can dilute the vinegar with water. Use a cotton bud or swab by dipping it in the vinegar and apply it directly to the tag and leave it and repeat it 3 times daily for 3 or for weeks, temporary stinging after the application is quite normal.
Apply a mix of 3 drops of oregano oil and 6 drops of coconut oil on the skin tag 3 times a day for at least 3 or 4 weeks or till the tag drops off.
Juice of fig stem
Crush a few fig stems for the purpose of taking some juice out and apply it directly to the tag and repeat this step 3 or 4 times for 3 to 4 weeks or until the tag drops off.
Oil of Tea Tree
Immerse a swab of cotton with water and extract the excess water and trickle a few drops of this tea tree oil on it and press it over the tag. Gently message for a couple of minutes. Do this 3 times daily until the tag falls off.
Take juice out of half a lemon and smear it over the skin tag using a cotton ball an leave t for a couple of hours, then wash with water. Repeating this 2 or 3 times a day for a couple of weeks will make the tag come off.
Take some garlic cloves and make a paste then apply that paste directly on the skin tag and bandage it. Let it be for 2 or 3 hours and then remove the bandage. Repeat these steps a couple of times daily for one week to completely remove the tag.
Soak 2 or 3 teaspoons of fenugreek in water overnight then strain the water and drink it on empty stomach in the morning. However, people with thyroid issues and anemia should not use this herb.
Take a few pieces of pineapple and crush them to take out their juice and apply it directly to the skin tag with help of a cotton ball and leave it but don’t was it off. Repeat this 2 times daily for 10 days to get rid of the skin tags.
Chop an onion in small cubes add half teaspoon of salt to it, mix and leave it overnight. The next day extract the juice of salted onion and apply it to the skin tag and bandage it. Do this daily for a couple of weeks for great results.
Form a paste 1 part baking soda and 2 parts of caster oil and apply this paste to the skin tag and cover it with a bandage now leave it overnight and wash it off the next day with lukewarm water.
