Spoilers of The Boy, 2016:
The movie is going to be released this Friday and the script has been written by Stacey Menear originally titled In A Dark Place however, the movie was renamed as The Inhabitant and now is being released under the name The Boy. We can expect some good from this movie as the names associated with it are all accredited with some talent. This film is directed by William Brent Bell who has previously directed The Devil Inside. Lauren Cohen is in the lead role of Greta, for the movie who is rolling in the television series The Walking Dead and the script writer, Stacey Menear has done a great job with his previous un-produced work named Mixtape so, we have some awesome talent behind the work of this horror flick.
The horror story is about Greta, a young women, who arrives a remote village in United Kingdom from the US, after finding a job as a nanny. When she reaches at the Heelshire’s she is stunned to find out that she is going to nanny a boy who actually is a life-sized doll considered as a real child by the parents after the death of Brahams, their son. Later on Greta begins to find out or think that the doll is alive. Before leaving the Heelshires have given a a set of rules that are handed over to her and she has to follow them under any circumstances. If she fails to do so, she will suffer from very disturbing incidents. The most horrific part is that there is no end to this suffering. The rules are simple, No Boyfriends, Dress him each morning, Kiss him goodnight, Never leave him alone, Never go in the attic, Help with studies and Never cover his face.
The spoilers of the movie are very explicit about the rules as well. There are 7 main spoilers that tell the rules that are set and what can go wrong if these rules are not followed. The first spoiler tells you as a nanny that you are not allowed to have any boyfriends. Now for Greta things might work out if they are talking about her ex-boyfriend Cole, because he was a crazy after all but things might be a little difficult in case of Malcolm as he he is shown to be the love interest for Greta and also he could reveal something about the past of Heelshires.
The second spoilers tells that the nanny should dress the boy up each morning. This might not be that difficult, how hard could it be to dress and undress a doll, but that is no ordinary doll plus, with all the creepy stuff going around in the house, its not that easy. The third spoiler is about kissing him goodnight and this can really shake things up for Greta, we all know that she is fully terrified in that big old house with so much going around here. The next spoiler shows that Greta cannot to leave the doll alone, well, you just cant decide what is worse, staying alone in that scary house or staying with that demonic doll.
The next spoiler tells you to not to be the visitor of that dark attic. This is actually the dark place upon which the first title of the script was based. You don’t know what kind of identity lives in that unholy place. Then there is a spoiler where Greta has to help the boy with his studies and she cannot cover his face. Things can get really freaked out if you see a doll constantly staring at you and you know something is going around the house which is not normal but you have to follow the rule and that is not to cover the face, that creepy-white porcelain face.
In another spoiler it is showed that the Heelshires are not coming back at all, they have committed suicide with a final will that Greta is the new owner of that doll and in a letter addressed to Brahams that “You have a new doll to take care of.” indicating that Greta IS HIS doll and not the other way around.
