Perrie Edwards who was born on 10th July, 1993 belongs to a group called Little Mix (previously Rythmix) who took part in X-Factor and won. The other 3 members of the group are Jade Thirlwall, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock. They all quickly got the fame because they were not only the first group ever to win in X-Factor, but they were the first female group as well. Then the group was involved in their debut single, the first ever, Wings on the day of 1st July, 2012 and after that they have released three albums called Get Weird, Salute and DNA. Another huge contributor to Edwards’ fame was she was engaged to the previous member of One Direction, Zayn Malik but they both have split up about a few months ago (August 2015). Despite their split up One Direction and Little Mix continue to be very close friends.
Perrie Louise Edwards belongs to a neighborhood in Tyne and Wear, England called South Shields. She has an elder brother named Jonnie and her parents are Alexander Edwards and Debbie Duffie. She was engaged to one of the One Direction member Zayn Malik. They both met each other on the set of X-Factor when One Direction was performing and Perrie was taking part in the competition. Perrie was asked to go out by Zayn but she wanted to wait until the show was over and they confirmed their relationship in the month of May 2012.
He proposed her on 18th August, 2013 after spending a weekend together. At the the world premier of This Is Us by One Direction she displayed her ring in London while her mother confirmed it to a radio station stating that they both love each other and she is happy for them both. However, the relationship was not a smooth ride for them both due to cheating allegations on Zayn. He also allegedly quit the band to salvage the relation with Perrie but he relation was officially called off in July and a few weeks later Perrie was assumed to be struggling with this when she cried during her live performance.
She appeared for the first time in the audition for the solo artist in X-Factor season 8 and sang You Oughta Know by Alanis Morrisettes. But she did not make it by loosing the first challenge of the bootcamp and got the chance again to participate by forming a group as it went down in the previous seen as well where the rejected participants were given another chance by forming a group. Jesy and Perrie were grouped separately and the name of their 2 member group was Faux Pas. However, they both did not even qualify for the judges houses.
Then Kelly Rowland suggested that both Jesy and Perrie should be joined with 2 more girls and form a four member group which was named as Rythmix so that they could perform in front of the judges and in the in the live shows later on. After a short while they did change the name of their group from Rythmix to Little Mix because of some problems of an organization with a similar name. They changed their group’s name during the part of the competition when the live shows were taking place. This was the group who turn out to be the winner of that X-Factor.
Shortly after that the group came out with their first ever single and their debut album. After their first album DNA, their second album Salute gained more success with the audience and was more critically acclaimed as well when it was released in November of 2013. After that in November of 2015 they released their third album named Get Weird with a purpose to break the American market in half. The first single of this album was released on 21st May, 2015 and was named Black Magic. The song was a huge success as it became one of their best songs. They also performed this song on stage with Taylor Swift in her World Tour. The second single of this album was released on 25th September, 2015 and was called Love Me Like You Do and again became a huge hit the moment it hit the market. The group Little Mix is the only group with girls from United Kingdom to have its first three debut albums and the first girls group with first three studio albums to appear in top 15 of Billboard 200. On 22nd September 2015, the group also showed their support for One Direction on the set of Apple Music Festival.
